The Search 4 Happiness
Day 108 - Expiry

Early this morning, a 48 year old man died down the street from my work. Unfortunately, he was stationary on the side of a dark road and was hit by a truck. The street was blocked off for several hours while they completed the investigation. There were around a dozen police officers, two ambulances, a fire engine, as well as the local governing body, as it is on airport land.
It was such an unfortunate event, and to make it even worse, the truck driver left the scene and is still being sought. Most likely, the driver didn't even realize what had even gone happened as they drove through.
Later in the morning, as I walked down the road to collect my car, I passed by the location where it happened. I saw some of the family crying as they placed flowers on an adjacent road sign. It was difficult to watch, and as I slowly walked past, it made me reflect on my life, my loved ones, and how precious - yet not guaranteed - life is.
It's always easy to get complacent or take things for granted when you're in the daily routine of life. However, none of it is guaranteed, and in the blink of an eye, it can all come to an end. It's important to try and enjoy every aspect of your life to the fullest at all times - your friends, family, experiences, successes, and even failures. Cherish and embrace every ounce of happiness that's available to you, and share it all with everyone you can. Always remember that tomorrow is not guaranteed, yesterday has passed, and all we truly have is now.
As someone passes through and their energy departs their body, I wonder about the next stage of consciousness. Is there such a thing, or does the energy simply transmit into a new dimension or dissipate into nothingness? The questions of the unknown have long been asked, likely for as long as time has existed. But as the universe continues to expand, what really happens? It is fascinating to ponder if there are realms beyond our comprehension that hold the answers to these questions, or if the energy that once formed the soul and consciousness of our us is simply scattered and lost in the vast expanse of the universe. Exploring the mysteries of existence is an eternal quest, and as we look for answers, we need acknowledge that the more we learn, the more we realize how much there is yet to discover.
We may never know what the next stage holds, at least until each one of us witnesses it firsthand. All we do know is that we all have a clock, an expiry date, and none of us really knows when that expiry date is. So live now, in the moment, make the most of each other, embrace happiness in every realm and enjoy every aspect of life while you have the chance.
Live as though this is your last day on earth
Thanks,
Dean
