Green Light - The Pursuit of Improvement
The green light represents the pursuit of continuous improvement to direct your energy towards the person you wish to become. This phase involves incorporating our red light phase of reflection, internal dialogue, the subsequent orange light phase of planning, and the documentation of desired objectives that have been formulated. Then, incorporating them towards striving to become a better you, a better human, and a better member of society.
The ability to reflect and construct a critical assessment of ourselves is one of the most difficult aspects in seeking happiness. We are all greatly influenced by external factors, and this has the capacity to greatly influence our own perception of ourselves. Subsequently, it creates a barrier in which we are unable to see our true wants and needs without misguided information leaking in from alternative factors.
However, once we can consciously and truthfully reflect without malice against ourselves, creating a barrier from external factors, then we are in a position to see our desired selves — the person and universal energy we wish to become. Once we have achieved this, our mind is a lot more balanced and subjectively more open to see the gaps in our lives that require fine-tuning, modification, or removal.
Once we have developed the fine-tuning, modifications, or removal of said gaps, we can document and prepare for the progressive stage. Although it may seem like the pursuit and actual implementation of the plan is the most difficult aspect, I believe the initial stages are far more obscure and influential in terms of achieving success within this framework.
If we have reflected truthfully and engaged in quiet introspection without allowing external factors to embed themselves in our minds, then we are in a mindset of belief and understanding.
During the green light phase, we must simply absorb the red and orange light phases, practice reflection and develop our plan, maintain belief in said plan, and pursue it without question. Believe in our feelings about ourselves, believe in the corresponding planning, and believe that we ourselves can complete the plan. If we have been true to ourselves, then the pursuit will deliver infinite potential in the search for happiness.
During times of uncertainty, we can review in smaller segments, begin the process again, and streamline the rollout to create cohesion among the facets to continuously develop a better version of ourselves.
It is important to remember that happiness is found through growth and the process. Successfully moving forward essentially means that a goal is never truly achieved. Perfection does not exist, but the pursuit of it is a North Star that we should all follow. This North Star is unique to each individual, as our minds are all positioned differently within the vastness of universal energy, space and time.
