The Search 4 Happiness
Day 119 - The Breakline

Sometimes, we find ourselves falling into traps in which our minds become absorbed by a variety of somewhat insignificant yet influential situations in our lives. Whether it be family, work, financial matters, sports, hobbies, or pretty much anything, it's easy to be affected by these external factors. No matter how much we decipher these factors, meditate, journal, and evaluate, there are still hidden influences that can come out of the shadows and throw us off course.
It's inevitable in life to have ups and downs; it's inevitable to be affected in positive and negative ways. Without negative, there is no positive; without sadness, there is no happiness. Without nothing, something ceases to exist. The common denominator of all these occurrences is the break line that separates the two opposites. The break line is the deciding factor in our course of action, our true North, the unknown, yet understood, direction and path we head towards.
The break line is where our happiness, fulfillment, and purpose are found or lost. It is at the intersection where we make the choice, and it's the choice we make that determines the outcome. Does our consciousness and universal energy sit in the narrow space between yin and yang, observing our surroundings, evaluating our external influences, our internal emotions, and the voice inside our head? All of these factors and objects contribute to an intricate dance that helps pave the way through our lives.
It’s impossible to always live on one side of the fence, because if there were only one side, the other would seek to exist. It is within that narrow space that we can find the answers to our questions. It is within that tight, narrow space that we make the decisions about which direction we go. Swaying too much to one side may divert us onto a new course or even a completely new path. Either way, it is in that moment, as we intersect the break line, that we make the decisions that formulate our happiness.
I think it is important to maintain as much balance as possible while we intersect and evaluate, in as neutral a place as possible, to position ourselves in the best possible circumstances, to achieve the most desired outcome for ourselves.
Manage the breakdown, maintain balance in the narrow gap, evaluate the moment calmly, make decisions from a neutral standpoint, and truly believe in the decisions you make to maintain direction on the path you wish to follow, to become the person you wish to be.
Thanks,
Dean
