Day 124 - Excuses

Everyone makes excuses about a variety of different things, for a variety of different reasons. It's easy to use excuses to prevent the possibility of failure, to avoid the requirement for work, or to spare oneself from the perception of letting someone down. However, it is within our ability to actively choose a path forward instead of resorting to excuses, which ultimately leads to happiness.
Although it may be tempting to select an excuse and therefore avoid attempting to achieve something difficult, we should commit to the struggle that comes with traversing a challenging path, and acknowledge that within every excuse lies the potential for growth.
During moments of decision-making, when we are faced with a difficult pathway and an easy one, one with the potential for greatness and one that is relatively average, we must always strive to choose the path that will test us the most and yield the most personal development.
Choosing the difficult path is not always easy, in fact, it is often very challenging. When an excuse enters our mind, providing temporary relief from venturing into the unknown and shielding us from potential discomfort, overcoming that excuse becomes an essential factor in our pursuit of happiness.
In the face of adversity, it is important to recognize that excuses are merely fabrications that hold us back from reaching our full potential. Embracing the discomfort and challenges that accompany the difficult path allows us to unlock hidden strengths and push ourselves beyond our perceived limitations.
By actively combating excuses and choosing a path that demands resilience and hard work, we empower ourselves to grow and evolve into the best version of ourselves. It is through these moments of uncomfortable decision-making that we embark on a journey of self-discovery and pave the way for a life full of purpose, fulfilment and happiness. Your excuses are just lies your fears have sold you
