The Search 4 Happiness
Day 134 - Control

There are many things in and around our lives that are completely out of our control. What happens to us on a moment-to-moment basis forms a collection of variable interactions that create a construct of our surroundings. These surroundings are externally out of our control. How we interact and enter those interactions is our choosing, but once involved in said interaction, our control of the situation can become less or more dependent on the individual circumstance and the multitude of variables that lean for or against our perception of what control actually is.
The ability to accept that whatever happens can be completely out of our control is important in maintaining a stable and balanced mind. The ability to control what is within our grasp is important in maintaining security within your own mind. Balance and security form a baseline structure in our consciousness that contributes to our search for happiness.
At times when aspects of the world fall out of our control, it can create unease. However, if we are able to find reason in the why and find reason in the how, then we can justify the reason for it being out of our control. However, when aspects of our lives and our worlds, which we deem controllable facets, fall into disarray, it is a much harder task to regroup and find balance within our minds. It is important to both maintain understanding of what is and isn't within our control, but it is also crucial to understand what is in our control and consistently work to maintain and/or improve said control.
There is a great sense of empowerment and fulfillment that comes from being able to influence and shape our own lives. When we have a sense of control over our actions and decisions, we are more likely to feel a sense of purpose and direction. This sense of control gives us the confidence to pursue our goals and aspirations, leading us closer to a state of happiness and fulfillment.
