The Search 4 Happiness
Day 142 - Society

The construct of modern society has slowly eroded aspects of what it means to be human and thrive in communal relationships. These aspects have been separated, creating an environment of loneliness, reduced interaction, and decreased connection. Consequently, there has been an increase in mortality due to these indirect repercussions that we have brought upon ourselves.
Throughout millennia, we have flourished in tribal communities. These communities prioritize deep-rooted, close-knit connections and value collective participation in all aspects of life, including hunting and gathering, consistent communal events, and political discussions. These discussions cover topics ranging from family dynamics to cultural events and the overall direction of the tribe. However, as society evolved in collaboration with the emergence of incredible diversity, extensive migration, and contrasting ideas, it has brought about both positive outcomes as well as negative ones, including isolation for those who do not conform to the expectations of modern society and what that society deems a conformity.
The more I think about how society is evolving, the more I realize that selfishness and separation are gaining traction. It is becoming increasingly difficult for communities to maintain a tribal-type connection. Progress and improvement in all realms is necessary as the importance of movement in a growth point direction is essential, but without maintaining connection to each other and consciously looking for avenues to maintain those fundamental human drivers we may lose an aspect of our communities and ourselves.
Happiness is focused around internal acknowledgment and understanding, internal dialogue and appreciation for what we have here and now, but being a community and sharing experiences, emotions and the creation of communities that drive us into the future. That is an aspect of universal energy that contributes to us all on a much deeper and unknown universal level.
Maintaining those relationships, continue to thrive together and always look to create, evolve and maintain those deeply connected communities. That is an integral part in the search for happiness.
Thanks,
Dean
