Time is the only thing we can never truly get back. The whole perception of time is incredibly unique and somewhat a completely human invention. Why do we have a definitive timeframe? What really is time? How do we control our time? How important is our time? Utilizing our time the best way possible and closing the gap on who we want to be while continually improving our time management is essential in our growth, fulfillment, purpose, and happiness.
Instinctively, we all know that death is around the corner. There is no immortality avenue that we are aware of, and subsequently, we are always subconsciously and consciously very aware of time. I think most people think more towards a daily perception of time. However, if you think about time from a macro perspective and equate potential interactions, potential development opportunities, or simply, the time required to achieve definitive objectives, it creates a more eudaimonic environment, which can be beneficial in maximizing the time we have left. However, creating too much emphasis on the future and what needs to happen to achieve that can have a detrimental effect on your ability to be happy and content within the present moment.
Time is an incredibly influential construct of our environment, and management of that time is incredibly important, difficult, and unique to every one of us. Time is a delicate balance of understanding and hats required within the confines of society and understanding how we should spend utilise the time that’s available to us on a minute to minute, day to day, week to week, month to month, year to year and lifetime timeframe.
The ability to truly understand time and make the most out of every possible moment is a challenging occurrence. And with life's natural evolution, so too does the focus and evolution of the priority of time. The older I get and the more constraints on my time begin to naturally be filled by engagements, responsibilities, appointments, and other assorted tasks, I realize that time is precious. How I choose to spend every moment of my time is vital in my search for happiness – vital in choosing to make the best use of my time for the best reasons, within the best frame of my present existence and the future of my existence.
It's important for all of us to look at time as the ultimate guide to our pursuit of life. How are we spending our time? Is it wise? Or is it not? If we only have a small moment of time left, how would we prioritize it? The only inevitability we truly face is that one day our time will run out. The only question that will remain is: Did we spend our time wisely?
Thanks,
