Day 155 - Boundaries

Without realizing it, do we create the confines of our own reality? Are the boundaries, rules, and systems that we have created simply fallacies? And because of the box in which we place ourselves, are we only able to reach the ceiling of that preconceived perimeter we have already set?
It’s incredibly interesting to think about the various people who have done extraordinary things in all realms of human endeavour. The wide array of individuals from all walks of life who have chosen to question the boundaries that have been set for them: academia, sports, business, mountaineering - pushing the body past what was believed to be possible. It encompasses a vast range of pursuits, all challenging something previously perceived as beyond the boundary of potential.
The boundaries that are created by our family, communities, and society as a whole cover a diverse range of facets. In many cases, it's important to create boundaries for safety, control, and order within the modern system that has been created, so we may all live in relative harmony.
However, creating boundaries around human endeavour and the possibilities of our potential is a hindrance to our potential happiness. From a very young age, almost from birth, we are taught the confines of initial life. In many cases, this is vitally important, but as we grow older and danger begins to show its face, we are slowly exposed to more and more boundaries. In many cases, these boundaries are for our own safety. However, does a boundary for our own safety also create a boundary in our minds to limitless possibilities?
The ability to decipher these paradigms is a difficult task, and the balance between right and wrong within these paradigms is also subjective to the person evaluating the boundaries in which they exist. Deciding that boundaries are simply constructs of society's perceived evaluation of what is deemed within reason is simply a guideline. This development of mindset towards a happier and more fulfilling outlook on life suggests that if we don't limit ourselves to preconceived boundaries, then the possibilities are endless. And if we have endless possibilities, then growth is inevitable. Through growth and expansion of our minds, we can find success in the search for happiness.
