Without our bodies, the vessels that carry us, we are nothing. Or perhaps we aren't?

A few weeks ago, I injured my back while training, and I have been struggling to walk ever since. Deep down, I know that it's all good because I've experienced this before. However, it always reminds me to appreciate having a healthy and functioning body.

Being somewhat incapacitated always prompts me to reflect on the significance of our bodies and how they shape our identity as universal beings. I am starting to believe more in the concept that we are all fragments of a universal energy that exists independent of the vessel that contains it.

The question of who we are is highly subjective, and even comprehending that question is a profound thought. Our most consistent and logical explanation is that we are the physical bodies that house and empower a point in space and time, which has evolved within its surroundings.

Life sometimes grants us certain privileges. However, it is when these privileges or gifts are taken away that we truly appreciate the reality of their absence. Losing something that is familiar to us, or something we have forgotten we possess, forces us to confront the gratitude we should have for our own existence. It is a privilege to be here, to have the vessel we inhabit, and to share the world with one another.

During times of despair, loss, failure, or degradation, it is crucial to reflect deeply and appreciate what we still have. Because even a simple back pain could be someone else's everything. Taking care of our bodies is of utmost importance and arguably the most essential factor in our quest for happiness.

Thanks,
