Born in Athens between 428 and 427 BC, Plato was born into a wealthy and influential family. His father's name was Ariston, who was said to be descended from the Kings of Athens, and his mother was named Pericitione. Not much is known about his early childhood years, as records during this time were limited. However, it is believed that he received a well-rounded upbringing and a high-level education.

During his early adulthood, he was mentored by Socrates and subsequently became one of his closest friends and confidants. Throughout history, many have believed that Plato was somewhat of the father of philosophy and that his works have had a significant impact on Western society long into the future from when they were written.

Plato had strong views on various subjects, including philosophy, politics, and education. He believed that everyone should have a balanced education based on a holistic approach, which focuses on nurturing both intellectual and moral development, creating well-rounded citizens. Consequently, he created his own school called the Academy, which ran for over 300 years. He had strong views on the world and the potential generated by empowering all people.

Throughout his life, he developed many ideas, concepts, and wrote many famous works. One of his most notable was 'The Republic,' where he introduced the idea of a state run by philosopher kings. He believed that philosophers were the most qualified leaders because of their desire for wisdom and truth. He also believed that not all people have the capacity or logic to think rationally and should therefore not be involved in significant decisions on society's direction.

He had many profound ideas, but one of the most profound that I read about was his theory of forms or the theory of ideas. He asked and emphasized the question of whether the material world we perceive is simply a reflection of the pure and perfect forms that exist in a separate realm. Was he framing what we commonly perceive as a potential matrix? I found this to be a very forward-thinking and impactful ideology on life and the world. One that is probably more relevant to our lives now than it has ever been throughout history.

Plato was clearly an amazing man, profound thinker, and advocate for a better world. He emphasized the importance of self-reflection, the freedom to evolve with our loved ones, decoding the message of beauty, for beauty is not simply a contract of tangible idealism on our perception of physical beauty, and reforming society.

He sought the pursuit of truth and an open-minded exploration of philosophical concepts and ideas. His frame of mind and ideas on what it means to live, how to contribute to society, and the importance of being a good person, has had a significant impact on the world and throughout the ages, a significant contribution in the search for happiness.
