The Search 4 Happiness
Day 222 - Being Conscientious

I think It's important in life to do things for the right reasons. However, what the right reason is up to you. I think it's easy to be in a mindset of doing something for someone else and expecting some sort of return. I think it's a natural instinct to think that way; it's a human instinct to gather and hold onto as much as possible to ensure security. And I think that's fine, but is it right?
There's a battle in our minds about releasing ourselves into a position of pure output—purely doing good things and favours for others simply because it is the righteous thing to do. Allowing only what is fundamentally grounded in positive actions for the greater good of the universe is a wonderful thing.
Being unable to fully provide a service to one another prevents us from truly feeling the full potential of the action. When the action is pure in its connection, pure in its reason for providing a helping hand, it is fully transmitting positive energy into the universe. It's an energy that powers our reality, our future, and the future of the world as we know it.
I believe that success in the search for happiness is somewhat grounded in this principle. And if we can all give, then no one will ever be in need. If the objective, goal, and subsequent achievement are found through the demise of another, then it's not a valuable contribution to the future of the world. Everyone should aspire to give everything they can because it's the right thing to do.
“Just do the right thing. The rest doesn’t matter.” - Marcus Aurelius.
