The Search 4 Happiness
Day 230 - Pathway

During periods of pressure, added workload, or a higher demand in our day-to-day activities, it can sometimes become hard to stay on task, hard to continue on our chosen pathway, hard to move forward in the right direction, or sometimes we can even become stagnant and fail to move forward at all.
I’ve been going through one of those periods as of late, and there's been a lapse in my focus around the relevant aspects of my life that I need to complete on a daily basis in order to continue or at least feel like I'm continuing to grow. It's easy to sway from the path, but vital to return to the pathway we choose or believe is the right one anyhow.
Although the last few weeks have been demanding, as we finished building our house and transitioned to a new place, and it’s been an enjoyable demand, it's still been a period in which those daily tasks, that I lean on without realizing, have lapsed somewhat.
These periods can provide us with understanding about aspects of our lives that are important for our happiness or even highlight aspects that may be overrated in our search for happiness, aspects that may not be contributing at all, even though they have been ingrained in our routine for a longer period of time.
Acknowledging and understanding our own pathways can be a difficult battle in itself. Just realizing and embracing the direction in which we wish to head towards can be a difficult task. However, when we do figure it out and find aspects of our life that make us truly happy and seek to follow that path towards it, this can strongly contribute in our search for happiness.
It is inevitable that due to whatever foreseen or unforeseen circumstances will create barriers or hurdles that prevent our growth down the pathway of our choosing, however, it is important to recognise and look for ways to regroup and find our way back to the chosen path. Down the pathway of our choosing, the path in which our mind is focused on pursuit, this can be a strong contributing factor in our search for happiness.
“It is important to expect nothing, to take every experience, including the negative ones, as merely steps on the path and to proceed” - Ram Dass
