Over the past 10 days I’ve covered various topics including space and time, standing alone, development, operating in autopilot, the ability to be flexible in our surroundings and environment, moving in silence, cohesion, as well exertion leading to growth, purpose and fulfilment.

Space - In our lives, the allocation of space and time is crucial for finding true happiness and fulfillment, as simplifying our wants and developing a mindset that prioritizes what is important to us allows us to create more space and time, steering us away from societal pressures and materialistic desires that ultimately provide temporary satisfaction.

Time - In the words of Dr. Seuss, time seems to fly by so quickly, making us wonder how it got so late, so soon. Time is a valuable resource that we must choose how to use wisely in order to find purpose and happiness in our lives.

Standing Alone - The ability to stand alone is often intimidating, but it is important to embrace aloneness and find comfort in being by oneself in order to grow and find happiness.

Development - Despite the horrible weather, our company's Christmas party last night was a fantastic evening with flowing drinks, great entertainment, and everyone having a great time, highlighting the importance of social events in building connections and culture within a team or community.

Auto pilot - Happiness lies in allowing ourselves to be fully present in the moment, without any preconceived notions or expectations, knowing that even the mundane aspects of our daily lives contribute to our overall sense of purpose, fulfillment, and happiness.

Flexibility - Being flexible in our environment is crucial for our search for happiness, as it allows us to adapt, remain balanced, and find positive outcomes in various situations, both favourable and unfavourable.

Moving in Silence - In our inherently communal nature, it may seem counterintuitive, but there is value in maintaining privacy and keeping certain aspects of our lives to ourselves, allowing us to focus on personal growth and development without the external influence or expectation of others, ultimately leading to a greater sense of progress and happiness.

Cohesion - Life is a complex and interconnected process, and our understanding of ourselves and the world around us should acknowledge the unity of our body, mind, spirit, and connection to the universe, as they all shape our happiness and contribute to a greater understanding of ourselves.

Couch - The author reflects on the profound experience of doing physical labour outside of their usual office-based job, seeing it as an opportunity for growth and personal challenge, and believes that pushing ourselves physically is important for our mind, body, and soul.

Definitely a highlight for these section for me was evaluating my perception of space and time, as well as finding ourselves being immersed in physical exertion, leading to growth.

Thanks,
