The Search 4 Happiness

Day 246 - The Void

I always find the period between Christmas and New Year's to be some sort of void in time. It's almost a universally trapped period, stuck in some kind of limbo. We've finished work for the year, celebrated Christmas with our loved ones, and now there's a short period before we complete another trip around the sun.

It's a moment in which we have an opportunity to stop, reflect, and dissect the year that has been, as well as prepare for the one ahead. I believe that during this period of time, there is an energy shift or movement within our world that opens up a transitional period between realms. Although cliché, the new year is a perfect opportunity to set goals, lock into elements of ourselves that we are looking to develop, review and set pathways for the following year. It is a time to start fresh, expand on existing pursuits, lock in, or simply move forward.

Although the vast majority of New Year's goals statistically fail within the first two weeks, it is still important to use significant dates and times in our lives to set a new tone or attempt new things. Start that idea, begin that fitness journey, eat healthier, be better, develop, learn, grow. Whether we succeed or fail, it is in the consistent pursuit of improvement and growth that dictates a significant portion of our happiness.

During this void type period in the year I believe we have a universally set opportunity to regroup, regather, refocus, and grow. This a perfect moment for us all to take a moment to reflect, plan, and seek more in the upcoming year that will soon be upon us.

Within these moments we have an opportunity to reflect on ourselves, evaluate, and search for more. We have an opportunity to seek truth when who we are, who we want to be, and who we will become. Within these elements can we find strong balance and success in our search for happiness.

Reflect, review, plan, and execute. Be happy, you deserve to be.

Thanks,

Dean
