The last 10 days have been an interest time for me. Leading up to Christmas and New Years I’ve been side tracked and my daily blogs have been a bit of a stretch for me, a stretch to think of ideas, ideas to flow freely, and to be in the moment. I think this time of year is one of deep reflection, celebration, happiness, and sadness. In deep moments of universal energy it can work for, or a against you, and on this occasion it was not in my favour, which is fine, and this is all part of the journey in the search for happiness.
I covered composure, the magic of Santa Claus and Christmas, the aftermath of a large Christmas celebration, and the period between Christmas and new years. I also wrote about our own internal protection, the importance of fun, as well as the approach to New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Eve itself.
Composure - maintain composure is vital in our lives, and ensuring we are not engaging in any conflict, recognizing the importance of evaluating situations and avoiding emotionally-driven actions. It’s important to reflect on the need to maintain mental, spiritual, and emotional control in challenging moments and express a sense of accomplishment and happiness in our ability to do so.
Santa - As the year comes to an end, the festive season of Christmas and the universal connection it brings through Santa Claus have spread far and wide, transcending cultural boundaries and reminding us to reflect, connect, and appreciate the joy and love in our lives.
Christmas - Various occasions throughout the year have the ability to bring us joy and fulfillment, such as holidays like Christmas which provide an opportunity to embrace one another and promote peace and unity, but it's important to also consider those who may not have the same opportunities for connection and happiness.
Aftermath - Despite the hangover and temporary discomfort, celebrating Christmas and witnessing the joy and happiness of diverse families coming together reminds us of the importance of cherishing these special moments and finding happiness through connection and belonging.
The Void - The period between Christmas and New Year's is a transitional time for reflection and growth, offering us a chance to regroup, plan, and pursue self-improvement in the upcoming year.
Internal Protection - The success of our desires and goals depends on the control and protection we exert over them, as expressing them to others can create accountability but also reduce the initial passion and drive, so it is important to strike a balance between expressing and protecting our aspirations.
Fun - Fun is a personal endeavour that brings enjoyment, amusement, or light-heartedness, and can be found through various activities and experiences that bring joy, regardless of others' opinions, ultimately helping us to enjoy life to the fullest.
The Approach - As we approached the New Year, I used this reflective time to review the past year and set goals for 2024, while also acknowledging the challenges of being consumed by constant learning and the importance of finding our own truth and perspective for personal growth, happiness, and contributing positively to the world around us.
New Years Eve - As the year comes to a close, I’ve reflected on the challenges and lessons I have experienced, expressing gratitude for my accomplishments, my family, and the positive direction my life is heading, while also acknowledging the difficulties that have been overcome. I encourage everyone to choose kindness, happiness, and personal growth as we enter the new year, wishing everyone a fulfilling and adventurous 2024.
It’s been a busy last few days and a period of the year I always find quite emotional. It’s been an enjoyable, yet challenging period, and I’m excited for the upcoming year and what the future may hold.
Thanks,
Dean
