The Search 4 Happiness
Day 257 - Tanya

I have thought about how to explain the happiness that is created with my partner in crime several times throughout my search for happiness, and I think for the person closest to us, it's a complex and somewhat difficult task in explaining in a few short sentences, and even words themselves, simply just how much of an influence on our happiness they have.
I've been with my wife for over 13 years now, over a third of my life actually, and throughout that time, we have experienced so many amazing experiences, travelled the world, created a vast array of memories, traversed many trials and tribulations, witnessed each other at our best and our worst, created an animal and human family, discussed thousands of ideas, concepts, aspirations, goals, and everything in between, and throughout that, I have learned an ocean of lessons about myself, the world, and life itself.
I've leaned on my wife in times of despair and sadness, expressed my deepest thoughts, and questioned life's very existence. I've lost myself, and she's helped me find it again. It's truly a complex and profound thought to even try to explain her contribution in my search for happiness, and the impact she has had on the person I am and the person I wish to become. She's the mother of my children and a truth in my meaning and purpose in life.
Sharing a life with someone and choosing to devote a part of our being to them is both an instinctual, physical, emotional, spiritual, and universal part of the existence of everything. Animals, plants, insects, and humans all share something – something that connects us on a level of complete unknown, yet a comfortable understanding.
Tanya is a truly incredible person. She's smart, beautiful, loving, nurturing, and understanding. She's wonderful and has so many amazing qualities. However, it is within the depth of our spiritual connection that has the most profound impact on my soul. We have our ups and downs like every partnership, and that is all part of the journey, but it is within these moments that have contributed the most to my happiness.
Throughout our journey, I have learned more about everything within our immediate realm than anything else has contributed within my life.
Connection is a fundamental aspect in our search for happiness, and the choice of our significant other is a choice that has the power to transform our lives in so many different directions. The gratitude I have for my wife is a gratitude I can't truly express in words, and I will forever cherish every opportunity I have to embrace every wonderful moment we have shared and will share long into the future.
This is a fundamental contributing factor in my search for happiness, and I believe establishing a long-term partnership with someone is a deep and profound human driver in the search for happiness.
I love and appreciate you Tanya, more than you’ll ever know.
Thanks,
Dean
