The Search 4 Happiness

Day 259 - Intention

I've been procrastinating a little bit lately, just getting back up and running. I guess during this time of year, it's always a bit of a slow start for me. The previous year has closed out, we've traversed the void, and the holidays have come to an end. It's a period in which we have set our objectives, and now the movement has begun. Those hyped plans, goals, and aspirations have moved from an initial period of euphoria and drive into the beginning of the grind in order to achieve them.

Setting our intentions in any magnitude, in any endeavour of life, is a vital component in creating the environment or life we wish to live. These intentions stretch to every corner of our lives. If we fail to act with intention, then we essentially act with the intention to fail.

I believe that setting goals, planning, and mapping out our plans are great practices. I consciously strive to write down and set a solid plan for anything I do. However, as I've grown older and observed my successes and failures, I've learned that it's the intention I set within my mind that truly matters. It's one thing to write down our desires in life, but it's crucial to consciously embed them into our psyche, and even more so, subconsciously. We need to establish firm and unwavering intentions for our true desires, ones that we genuinely believe in.

Our happiness, just like any other endeavour, is a combination of understanding, learning, reflection, growth, and intention. One of the most basic principles for finding happiness is to set our intentions. We must set our intentions on fundamental aspects of life that fulfill us, aspects that provide service and purpose. In order to be happy, we simply have to intend to be happy. We need to set our intentions on seeing, hearing, feeling, believing, and consciously choosing happiness.

Thanks,
