The Search 4 Happiness
Day 276 - Marijuana
1/26/20242 min read

Throughout my life, I have used marijuana at different stages and have witnessed its influence in both positive and negative aspects of mine, as well as various others' lives.
It's quite strange because I know that marijuana has significantly contributed to my happiness due to its frequent presence in my life and how it has made me feel. However, as I get older and have the opportunity to reflect on these moments, I can assess things from a new perspective.
I understand the persuasive qualities and the ability for marijuana to dictate direction. However, it also has the ability to open up hidden gateways into our minds, which is an alternative aspect of its power. I can now acknowledge that it has played a role in my commitment to certain things, tasks, passions, and pursuits. Although it may be difficult to admit, this is a common trait associated with its use. It is perhaps the most counterproductive and negative aspect of the debate surrounding its contribution to society and our minds.
One night, I was out having a few drinks with some friends, and someone asked me about my relationship with marijuana.
“How do you think it has contributed to your life? What has it taught you?”
Although I recognize its negative effects, it has taught me to be patient and to listen. It has taught me to feel more deeply, and I think it has allowed me to connect with alternative universal systems on a more synchronized level. However, one of the main things that it has contributed, is my perspective of life itself and what is important. It has allowed me to take a step back and to gather a more neutral understanding and perspective of the world, one from a position of complete unbiased, and disregard for any external factors that could sway my judgement.
I don’t necessarily condone it, nor am I anti, but it should be met with caution, maturity, and a sense of consideration for the unknown, and the possibility of being met with certain realisations that may or may not contribute in a positive manner. However, there is something within its realm that for me has helped me learn, grow, and understand more about aspects of my happiness, and the happiness of the world, which I may not have ever realised otherwise.
Thanks,
Dean
