The Search 4 Happiness
Day 285 - Fresh Template

There is something so magical within the happiness and joy that is displayed by a baby. Initially, as they enter the world, everything is seen and deciphered for the first time. Every smell, taste, sight, and feeling is all brand new, and with that comes a continual learning experience unlike any before that moment, and unlike any after. A baby simply lives every moment in front of it for what it is because it has no real understanding of what was, what is, or what will be.
It makes me wonder about open templates and our ability to create a clear slate, to create an open board to start fresh, and learn, develop, and grow like a newly born baby. It’s incredibly difficult to clear any preconceived ideas around a habit or process, a concept, or an ideology and start fresh as if we didn’t have any understanding of it. I believe this is the case for most things we do.
Our brains are preprogrammed in preparation to learn, and during our first five years, we process and absorb information faster than any other time for the rest of our lives. We are simply set up as an open template ready to learn and live. Being an open template with no preconceived ideology and thoughts on any matters means we can absorb, learn, and grow in any direction our teacher chooses.
Recreating an open template can assist in our search for happiness by enabling us to approach life with a sense of wonder and curiosity, just like a baby does. When we let go of preconceived notions and expectations, we open ourselves up to new experiences and possibilities. Embracing an open template allows us to fully immerse ourselves in the present moment. Additionally, recreating an open template helps us to continuously learn and adapt, fostering a growth mindset that allows for personal development and a deeper understanding of ourselves and the world around us.
Sometimes it’s vitally important to help find a way to clear the slate and allow ourselves to start fresh in order to progress and move forward from a solid foundation through relearning of aspects we need to recreate. This can contribute greatly in our search for happiness.
Thanks,
Dean
