The Search 4 Happiness

Day 295 - Resilience

How we interpret the various aspects of our world is an integral part of the output of our lives, one that dictates our perception of the world to an extent. However, within that interpretation and subsequent perception, lies the creation of the opportunity in which we decide how to respond. That response, both within our own minds and in the projected response to other minds, creates a ripple effect within our own consciousness and the universal consciousness.

It's easy to say "be resilient", "don't let someone's words bring you down", "have thick skin", "forget about it, move forward". However, I would be a hypocrite to say I have never questioned my own self-worth because of someone else's perception of me. I believe that every single person that has ever existed, at one stage, has questioned themselves based on an external influence.

Every single person that has ever existed has thought, does that person understand a part of me that I don't? Does that person know me better than myself? Does that person know something I don't about myself? These questions create echoes in our minds without control and neutral evaluation.

Having resilience, dissecting things from a neutral standpoint, and not allowing insignificant ideas, perspectives, or attacks to affect us is an essential part of the search for happiness. There will always be people in the world who wish to break us down or project negativity to the world. However, if we can view them for what they are - negativity - and understand that they serve us no purpose and have no merit, then we will be in a much better place in our own world.

Thanks,
