The Search 4 Happiness

Day 296 - Ye

I was listening to a Katt Williams interview the other day, and he said something so interesting about our perception and subsequent support of those who are or may be deemed mentally ill or unwell. He was talking about Kanye West and how the media and a large portion of the world advertise and promote support for mentally ill or mentally unwell people, yet persecute them if they express their feelings or concerns about their own mental stability. Kanye West, or 'ye', is an absolute genius in his field, and in some of his darkest moments as he clutched at straws in his own reality, he expressed his sadness and the darkness swallowing his mind. Yet, most chose to belittle him and push him lower, as opposed to showing pure support and guidance.

In a large portion of the world, everyone wants to project a sense of guidance, support, and protection. However, when it presents itself, most are unable to deliver. Delivering a service in this respect is one of selflessness, one of pure service, giving, without any preconceived ideas of a return.

Why is the default for many to express their concerns and acknowledge and support those in need, yet most will turn the other way when the test shows face? It is a difficult situation in which you must choose this path, one of darkness, one in which you may be trapped in your own shadow. However, the ability for us all to support everyone else in these dark moments is an incredibly powerful support in the search for happiness. The search for happiness of the world itself, humankind itself, the universe itself.

There is a contrast in this day and age between the support of those in need, the expression of thoughts, feelings, and emotions, and action. If we can truly aspire to give, support, and drive a wedge for others between happiness, obscurity and darkness, then we choose the light, and the subsequent light creates a candle of eternal fire to keep us all warm through the night.

Thanks,

Dean
