The Search 4 Happiness
Day 310 - Mindset

When you lose your cool, you’ve already lost. The idea of expressing more energy, anger, or aggression to sway the balance of control and power in any given situation is a fallacy. Whether that outburst results in physical dominance or some sort of mental or emotional overpowering, you are still the loser simply because you have lost the control. You have allowed someone or something, any external energy, to penetrate your psyche and take over your train of thought.
I have spoken a lot on emotional and mental capacity, balance, and control over the past few days. I believe that as I reflect deeper on this journey and the key takeaways, my mental and emotional control is one of, if not the most profound realisation I have had. I have always been aware of how such things can completely alter your thoughts, to the extent that it can hinder your physical ability to succeed or move forward. However, as I have read more insights and delved deeper for understanding of myself and the world around me, I have truly started to grasp what that actually means and have become far more conscious of how it can impact me.
I lost my cool tonight. I could blame it on a variety of factors: a combination of different failures or compounding problems that built up throughout the day. However, that would just be an excuse, and an excuse is simply an attempt to justify some sort of wrongdoing.
It is inevitable that external influences will impact our minds. However, it is within our ability to absorb, dissect, and evaluate them before offering any rebuttals or redeployment. It is imperative to ensure that we maintain a steady balance and order within our minds.
Thanks,
