The Search 4 Happiness
Day 315 - Student

As I learn more about myself, my children, and the journey of parenthood, I find myself in a position where teaching is imperative in helping my children become the best versions of themselves. However, within those teachings comes great responsibilities, and what we project has a vast impact on them, both good and bad.
Throughout my life, I have been privileged to learn from many great people, with many different styles and perspectives of the world. I think teaching is a delicate balance between learning, understanding, and projecting an idea based on a neutral perspective to allow the student to learn with an open mind.
I’ve always considered myself somewhat of a leader; however, I’ve never been a big talker and always tried to lead by example, primarily through sport. But as I grow older, that is starting to shift. I’ve also always been interested in learning, but afraid of being queried about my understanding of the topic. These two factors have led me to a point where I must learn to talk and learn to absorb to an extent I can teach, in order to grow, both aspects that have been missing links, I guess, in my own development.
One of the most fascinating things about teaching is the ability to control the dialogue and portray an idea or skill, and how that projection of teaching reaffirms our own understanding of the idea or skill. Subsequently, our teaching creates the reaffirmation of our learnings. A full circle setting to achieve a continuous flow of evolution within us all.
It is vital to maintain the mind of a student, while also being strong enough, and skilled enough to understand, dissect, and teach said discipline. Within this is a contributing factor in our search for happiness.
Thanks,
