The Search 4 Happiness
Day 319 - God

I have revisited the topic of the significance of God, gods, or a universal divine entity several times, and there is definitely something deep within all of us—an innate understanding of connection to something bigger than ourselves that creates a sense of purpose and fulfillment if we choose to explore it.
While I would not describe myself as a religious person, I did attend religious primary and secondary schools. Additionally, my godfather is a fairly religious man, and I have attended mass on occasions with my in-laws, as well as with other friends and family. One aspect that has always struck me and which I believe is a significant feature of the church and all religions is the sense of community, the engagement from the people, and the abundance of love and connection that one witnesses at every mass or gathering. There is a profound sense of love and joy within these communities during these moments, a feeling that I believe radiates happiness to all those involved.
Religion comprises many moving parts, and while it is anchored in a god, gods, or faith, there are also various other contributing factors that foster a devout belief in a greater good or higher purpose.
I may not believe in God per se, but I do believe that 'God' represents a universal energy that connects us all. Through this energy, we find connection not just within ourselves but also with everyone and everything around us. Holding a belief in something larger than ourselves, a belief in a divine entity that links and brings joy, purpose, and fulfillment to us all, is a beautiful notion. Sometimes, it is crucial to acknowledge that we are merely a small speck in the grand scheme of everything. Upon realizing this, we understand that there exists a higher truth, one that binds us all together. When we recognize that we and everything around us are interconnected as one through something greater than ourselves, a profound sense of unity emerges.
Thank you,
