The Search 4 Happiness

Day 329 - Lesson 3 - Growth

Without realizing it, growth has played an incredibly important role in my life. As I look back at my life so far and the ups and downs, I realize that it was within the periods in which I was somewhat stagnant in progress or growth that I felt the most lost and least happy. Growth and the pursuit of improvement are vital in the search for happiness. If we fail to grow, then we grow to fail.

Striving to be the best in any endeavour is an admirable aspiration, and it's always important to aim high in whatever our chosen realm. However, being better than we were yesterday is the true essence of improvement, the true essence of being the best version of ourselves. Each day that I experience growth, whether in work, life, knowledge, sport, or anything, I feel a great sense of purpose and fulfillment.

I believe that in order to achieve happiness, we need to be fulfilled in our lives. To be fulfilled, we must continue moving forward and growing in every possible realm. While responsibilities and work requirements in a job or field, we may not be passionate about could hinder our growth to some extent, our growth does not have to be limited to our professional life. It can encompass any aspect of our lives, whether that involves sports, hobbies, or the pursuit of knowledge and understanding in any area of interest. The goal is simply to improve and grow, to be a better version of ourselves today than we were yesterday, and to strive to be even better tomorrow than we are today.

Growth and the never-ending pursuit of improvement is a fundamental contributing factor in our lives, and one I believe is a vital component in obtaining purpose, fulfillment, and success in the search for happiness.

Thanks,
