Day 337 - Lesson 10 - Happiness

Throughout my journey, I have searched for understanding, for reason, for an answer as to what it all means. If anything, I have been left in a deeper position. However, one thing that I have found in regards to the search for happiness is that happiness is simply a product of our own perception of the world, our own reality of space and time, our own belief in universal truth, and it is all dictated by ourselves.

The search for happiness and the ability to find success in it lie deep within ourselves. There is nothing outside of ourselves that can ever provide the necessary requirements that we seek. It’s easy to believe that the search is a path outside of ourselves to create an understanding of what we truly are, want to be, and desire to be. To an extent, there are building blocks that can contribute towards understanding; however, the questions we have meet the answers we seek within our own minds.

One of the most common themes within my search for happiness that I found was the concept and profound understanding of the search within ourselves. The search may be directed through different avenues within ourselves like creativity, struggle, or connection. However, it is within the path towards a deeper understanding of our own processes, concepts, ideologies, and subsequent beliefs that play the most crucial part in learning to understand the questions of ourselves, our worlds, and the universe itself. Then, we are left with the ability to formulate the answers within ourselves.

There are a variety of different contributing factors, but the fundamental requirement in order to achieve happiness is to simply be happy. I have pondered and somewhat justified within my own mind that different elements, basic human necessities, and an assortment of contributing factors dictate the ability to achieve it. But in the end, happiness is simply a choice, and we simply must choose to be happy.

Thanks,
