The Search 4 Happiness
Day 40 - Curiosity

Within this day an age the ability to access information is readily available at everyone’s finger tips. Throughout my life I have seen the beginning of the modern day information age, access to computers, compact handheld information centres, the creation of the internet and various other forms of easy, consolidated forms of access to large collections of information, available in all areas of society.
The feeling of not knowing but curious in something is a combination of both the fear of not being able to find out as well as the drive to search deeper. It makes me think about how in ancient times how the tiniest pieces of what could almost be perceived as gossip, stimulated great minds into searching for something on a whim. Adventuring into the unknown in the hope that a small piece of that information had substance and the thought of finding the relevant information or treasure could lead to something magical, wealth, riches, knowledge or purpose.
Being curious is both an important and instinctual element of the human mind and can lead to deep feelings of fulfillment and happiness. I don’t know how many times curiosity had captured my mind in something somewhat trivial and lead to a wonderful insight into something I may never have imagined. A prime example is my current search for happiness. Over a period of time I have become more and more curious in both what it means to be happy, ideas and concepts around how to become happy and what happiness is for myself, subsequently I have already been delivered by the universe, many amazing ideas, information and knowledge from all walks of life, that can contribute to my curiosity and help me find something that may contribute to its understanding.
Curiosity is a wonderful tool that can lead to exploration, self discovery and a growth mindset.
When we are curious, we explore new horizons that may never have been seen before, these new horizons can lead to new discoveries in all aspects of life, including self discovery within ourselves, self discovery can often lead to a deeper sense of purpose and fulfillment and subsequently a deep sense of a growth mindset has the ability to flourish.
I’m naturally a curious person, I love to ask questions, listen to new and out of the box ideas, thoughts and feelings and almost always come away with a new interest, understanding or piece of knowledge. I strongly believe being curious and always searching to learn more about something new or even just expanding your current knowledge of something is a fantastic tool to contributing to your growth and helping in the search for happiness.
