Day 69 - Reset

A reset is an important circuit breaker for all aspects of our lives, whether it be too much good, too much bad, or just too much of anything. Sometimes, in the midst of chaos in life, we forget to make room for a reset and create space for it. Consequently, we can face burnout or overstimulation, both of which can lead to complications within our own minds.
My family and I spent a night down the coast last night, and without realizing it, it was exactly what we all needed. It was a small reset and change of scenery to recharge our routine batteries, which are always overused.
Sure, holiday escapes of any sort can be a stretch for various reasons, but a reset doesn't need to be crazy or expensive. Sometimes, a reset can be as simple as a picnic in the park or an extended road trip to the beach. These activities help us escape the normality of life and allow us to reflect, refocus, and reset.
In this day and age, people are so confined to their routines that we often forget what is truly important to us. While many of us perform mundane tasks repeatedly to maintain a 'normal' life, we lose sight of our true fundamental objectives in the life we live. But what is a normal life? What are our aspirations? What are the things we value the most? What are the things that make us happy? It's the reset in our world that brings about true reflection of our surroundings and allows us to create space in our minds to reset the flow.
It had been a while since my family and I got away for a reset just for us. Often, holidays revolve around family events or large gatherings, and sometimes, these holidays end up being more of an effort than a relaxing moment. It is important for all of us to remove ourselves from our daily grind and create space to see what's actually in front of us. Only then can we truly align ourselves with our root objectives, our foundations, and our search for happiness.
Take time for yourself, escape the day to day in order to reflect and find more meaning in the long term objective of life
Thanks,
